Fatal error on start up, using Windows 98se, happens after computer sits turned off for awhile, like over night, then I get the blue screen on boot up, 0167:BFF83BFC, seems to run fine after I restart it. Can anyone please tell me what is causing this.

...error krnl386.exe 0001:000075a2 Go to safe mode and go to start accessory system tools and run check system files you'll find dammaged files just replace with the same ones it shoud workfor next error 0028:00000003 and 0167:xxxxxxxx uninstall softwares that can use the last drive or any app. you installed. second ,and it take to me some time to find it, run doctor watson and see in kernel drivers (system/iosubsys folder), the ones coorresponding to the softwares you delete before. take theses "*.vxd" files to another folder in case you will need them. For file that that are in double one whith *.bak and *.vxd, rename the .bak to .vxd I hope you understand my poor english and may be this will help you,

I am getting the exact same problem. 0167:BFF83BFC is one of the more frequent codes but I have some variations (0167:BFF72830, 0167:BFF77393 and some others, all with 0167:) I haven't found any solutions for the problem yet, but it has been suggested that the 0167:BFF83BFC error is related to Zone Alarm.
