Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x10000050 (0xc252b694, 0x00000000, 0x804eef61, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini042003-01.dmp.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Does anyone know what that (0x804eef61) 3rd segment reflects? I get this often in games. Just kind of annoying, i could leave my computer running for weeks on end and if i go into a few different games i might get an error and if i do that segment always comes up.

I can include more info if needed...

Some help to understand the error code 0x50, usually related to memory fault (DRAM, CPU L2 cache, or video RAM error)

E.G. 0x10000050 (0xc252b694, 0x00000000, 0x804eef61, 0x00000000)

Meaning of other address
FIRST number 0xc252b694: Target memory address
SECOND number: 0x________0: if last is 0 means while READING
0x________1: if last is 1 means while WRITING
THIRD number: 0x804eef61: Memory which called FIRST NUMBER data
FOURTH: (reserved)

In my case the dump is ALWAYS the same, and when installing programs...

Get sure RAM is not the problem by using MEMTEST+
URL: http://www.memtest.org/

The worst scenario is a faulty mother board...

Good luck!

I am also getting the same error that everyone else is reporting but mine only happens when I have a specific game opened error is either, 0x10000050 (0xd7d9ffe1, 0x00000001, 0x867d0111, 0x00000000) or 0x1000007f (0x0000000d, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). I have been getting these kind of errors for awhile now. I am running XP Pro with 1 gig of ram and and ATI 9600. I will try to uninstall AVG and find
out if that is the reason or not.

I got this message (0x10000050) in my computer (HP 325 with Windows XP). The problem was a 512MB DDR 2700 Kingston memory module. After I remove this module, the problem stopped. soutoitamar@yahoo.com.br

I've been getting this on my work PC for some time now, but the machine never reboots while in use...just every month or two it fails to boot up. I usually find that booting in Safe Mode once or twice bypasses the issue - until it appears again of course.

I had the same crash in conjunction with AVG 6 Free Edition during a virus complete scan. So maybe AVG ist the cause of this crash. At the same time I was running nmapwin and Mozilla Firefox.

I have same problem on Windows XP home, and have had for several months now intermittently. At one point I thought it was a bad heat sink, as the clamp had broken. I replaced. Then I thought it was bad ram memory and replaced it. But still rebooting unexpectedly, usually when doing intensive graphics stuff. Windows error reports says it's a device driver. Updated all drivers, tho, and still does it. I have a GeForce4 Ti 4600 graphics card. I suspect it may be culprit, though it works fine. Anyone have clues?

Same problem on XP Pro SP1! I have narrowed it down to a Microsoft of NVidia problem as I have replaced ALL the hardware in my computer - New Mobo, Memory, Case, Hard drive, CD ROM, DVD ROM and Graphics card... Same CD used to install and same CPU (AMD). I gather it either a fault on NVidia or Microsoft. My graphics card was a GeForce4 440MX, changed for GeForce FX5200, but the problem remains.

Must be a misconfig in O/S to my knowledge so far - Any info appreciated!

Info posted to me at another forum revealed this was due to an anti-virus program. I was running AVG along with Norton. Since removing AVG I have not had a similar crash & reboot. Also check out this thread from Microsoft:

Hello,
don't know if it will help , but I've been getting this 3rd segment also . The complete Page_fault_in_nonpage_area error is :
STOP: (0x00000050, 0xFFFFFFFB, 0X804EEF61, 0x00000000 )

Would you by any chance own a GEForce4 on your box ? I do. A Siluro GF4 MS-SE. I've also noticed a CPU temp at boot up of approx. 70-72 degrees Celsius ( 30 sec. after power on ) ...that's the only thing I can see .. But these kind of errors are not associated with STOP 0X50 ..

Hope we can nail this one .
