Here's the scoop... Download and run Live Update to get this driver. It will then find the driver and install it. Good luck.

I found it!You need the pc2pc driver, i found it on www.msi-technology.de It's the german site.. but it should be easy to find! Select your board in the (Produktauswahl) and go to (Treiber) There you 'll find it... ;o)

it's on the cd you got with your motherboard (mine = MSI KT7pro2) live bios, pc alert and stuff. it's a genelink adapter driver in a folder called usb! You can connect without a networkadapter, your pc to another. one site is usb which goes in to the other pc, the other end looks different more square and goes in to the host. And you've got a connection. The driver installs a genelink adapter en genelink usb ....something.... not bad for a girl hé!?
: : Is it just me or did neither of them actually say anything... oi...
: : I feel your pain brother... I've got an MSI K7T Turbo Limited board running XP (didn't appear to have the problem in 98) and I have exactly the same problem. : : Moreover, my USB scanner won't scan. I can't Tshoot that effectively when I have an obvious error in my USB conf... : : I haven't found anything even resembling help from the web, MSI, MS, VIA or anyone else... : I too have an MSI KT7 Turbo Limited motherboard and get the same message in device manager. Cannot find the driver it asks for on the motherboard disk and no luck with the manufacturer. I do not like unresolved problems on my system and am thinking about another motherboard just to see if it clears this up. What is this thing?

I experienced this issue too, a little digging led to the discovery that it appears to be to do with USB peer-to-peer networking, a bit like an old Windows Direct Cable Connection with a serial cable. The solution (at least for my VIA based MSI board) is to install the GeneLink LAN driver which does come on the driver CD. Hope that helps at least some of you. : Is it just me or did neither of them actually say anything... oi... : I feel your pain brother...
