I had the same problem and I have Win98SE. I seem to have fixed it by reinstalling windows. This caused the system to rebuild the drivers database where I got the error message that mssp.vxd was missing and a .dll for my monitor driver was missing. I downloaded new versions then rebooted and it has started up ok every time since. Fingers crossed :-)

: About 1 out of every 10 times I boot I get an error message. It says OE 017f BFFB018. Can Anyone tell me what this means? I have (groan) Windows ME. Thanks evrybody!
