Win98 error in Kernel 32 after installing Media Pl Post a Reply
From: Becky on 02/20/2002
Running in Windows 98, I downloaded and installed Windows Media Player 7.1 with no apparent problems. When install was complete, I restarted. Desktop background color appeared with cursor, but no icons and no taskbar. Restarted several times. On one occasion, I received a Kernel 32 error message (don't remember exact wording) at which time my computer froze. On restarting again, ScanDisk found nothing. I am able to run in safe mode, but I'm not sure exactly what I should try to fix with my very limited expertise. Can you help?
