1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. On the Windows Setup tab, click Communications, and then click Details.
3. Click to clear the Dial-Up Networking check box, and then click Yes if you receive a message that Dial-Up Networking is required by other components.
4. Click NO if you are prompted to restart your computer To uninstall TCP/IP:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network.
2. Remove all TCP/IP-related network components from network properties. To do this, click a component on the Configuration tab, and then click Remove. Repeat this step until all TCP/IP-related network components are deleted from network properties, click OK, and then click NO when you are prompted to restart your computer
Click on Start, Click on Run , Type REGEDIT
a. In the window which opens up , Expand the second folder 'HKey_Local Machine ' by clicking on the '+' sign
b. Next expand SYSTEM by clicking on the '+' sign
c. Next expand CURRENT CONTROL SET
d. Next expand Services
Under services . Right click on the folder WINSOCK and delete it .
Right click on WINSOCK2 and delete it .
Next Exapnd the folder REMOTE ACCESS
Expand AUTHENTICATION
Under AUTHENTICATION right click on SMM_FILES and delete it
Expand the VxD folder
Right Click on AFVXD and delete it
Right Click on DHCP and delete it
Right Click in MSTCP and delete it
Right Click on Winsock and delete it
Right Click on Winsock2 and delete it
Close the Registry Editor
Click on Start, Select Shutdown and select the Restart option and then click OK
After returning to the desktop
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. On the Windows Setup tab, click Communications, and then click Details.
3. Check the Dial-Up Networking check box
4. Click NO if you are prompted to restart your computer
1.Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network.
2. On the Configuration tab, click Add, click Protocol, and then click Add.
3. In the Manufacturers box, click Microsoft, in the Network Protocols box, click TCP/IP, and then click OK.
4. Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer (if you are not prompted to restart your computer, do so manually).
