 Winword.exe error Post a Reply
From: Avril on 06/30/2002
We are running Windows NT using Microsoft Office 2000, whenever you paste something you have copied from Internet Explorer or another word document it causes a Winword.exe error and everything is lost. What is causing this and how do I fix it? Our IT guy is at a loss...may be beyond his capacity.

Help!!

Thanks.

I am not going around our "IT" guy. He's not even working on the solution.

Someone needs to correct the problem, so I turned here for help.

Make sure that you are running Windows NT 4.0 SP6a and Office 2000 with SR1 installed. This problem is associated with NT 4.0 and a service pack less than 6a. If you are still having the problem, then it is associated with a program that interacts with Word 2000 (ie, Dragon, Naturally Speaking, Act, Avery Label Wizard, Eudora, EZ Photo, Image Stream 97, Voice Express, WinFax Pro, etc.).

Remember, your "IT guy" wears many hats and works with many issues. Please include him/her on your troubleshooting. I could not imagine how you would feel if someone worked around you to do your job! Thanks.
