I've got a problem here at the office. On one of our computers, the properties boxes for programs, desktop and IE come up blank when you try to open them. This apparently began to happen not long ago when I was trying to get the computer to recognize a CDRW drive. The CDRW is installed correctly (Windows sees it as a CD-ROM, but Adaptec CD Creator 4 won't detect it, it's an HP device in a Compaq machine, btw). Anyway, to try and repair the problem, among other things, I did a first level repair of Windows from the Win 2K disc and then reinstalled SP3.I also tried removing and allowing the network server to recreate personal files on the machine. After this is when we noticed that the machine began to have problems displaying all properties boxes. Do you have any ideas of how I can repair this major glitch?
