Rundll32 caused GPF in Module user.exe(Window 95/E Post a Reply
From: Donna on 03/17/2003
I can open excel, however, when I open a workbook and try to close Excel locks up, then I get This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. I click on details and get run32dll caused GPF in module user.exe.

I have reloaded the software but it has happened again.
I am running a Pentium II 350Mhz with 64 MB RAM. Shows I have 82% resources free with Excel open.

I have run virus scsn in Safe mode and have found no viruses.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Rundll32.exe is an important file within the Windows operating system. You need to look at downloading the file from DLL world on the net,or reinstall the current O.S with the origional CD, so as to overwrite any damaged DLL/EXE files,

So all in all,

1.Download the file from DDL World
or
2.Re-install windows to overwrite the operating system.

Beware that the re-installation of windows does not always cure the problem if the problem is not fully windows o.s related
