hi all,

I am connected to the net thru MSN broadband. I cannot access/browse any pages, keep getting the msg "page cannot be displayed" after it takes like 2 minutes of searching. I called msn, they said that everything is fine from their end and reccommends that I call microsoft. We pinged a website, it works! we sent and recv'd 4 packges withing milliseconds. I am running a chat program ( trillian ) which is set to be sonnected automatically once windows start. It shows that I am online , but I dont get my lists. The only thing that works on the damn pc is Outlook express, I can send and receive. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to why I cant surf/browse.

I had the same problem with Windows XP. It is an IP address issue. Have you recently added a network or tried to set up internet connection sharing. Try a system restore to before you did that if you did otherwise can't help you not with MSN.

I tried pinging by both and I am geting replies. I ended up doing a format of the HD, thinking that would solve my problem - IT DIDNT WORK. Having the same issues with win 98. My it guy here @ the job mentioned that its a DNS or gateway issue? I honestly dont know what to do next.

You're Winsock32 Installation is corrupt. Do a Windows XP repair using the CD.
