getting rid of left over pieces of norton 2003 ant Post a Reply
From: Wilbur on 01/22/2003
I installed the Professional Norton 2003 Antivirus program. However, I found that I needed to uninstall it. I following all the directions, and it told me I had successfully uninstalled it. When I was ready to reinstall it, it informed that several parts of the program were still in the computer and it would not write over them. The parts already in the computer were not accessable. So when you reinstalled the program, you only got benefit of a few items. The following things were left after uninstall, ghost, pv, nav, nsw, shfolder.dll, cg, nu_9x, and others. I have been deleting them, but after deleting over 1000 of these, I realize there must be a better way.
Any help received about this and how to solve it would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Wilbur
