Fatal Crash involving dblbuff.sys and ifshlp.sys Post a Reply
From: Matt on 01/14/2000
At various times and for what seems no reason my laptop (which has windows 98) crashes. It's almost always the same error: Windows file dblbuff.sys is corrupt or missing and Windows file ifshlp.sys is corrupt or missing. Why is this happening? (Also, I have my hard drive in 3 partitions and I use mostly microsoft software except for a game.)

thanks

Matt

Sounds like you might have a shut down problem, or those wonderful MS products are causing problems.

I would trash the latter :)

Get Norton tools or Mcafee stuff and check the system over, put in crash guard. Go to corel.com and download their operating system.
