How about AOL's new message. Asking you if you want to stay on line about every 10-15 mins. I was on a game site 2 times this week and it came up and asked me that. And when I was not here to click on it.
It disconnected me. It also does it when you are writting emails.
What a bunch of crap. I pay for unlimited usage and now they are booting me off my computer!!! I pay for the time what gives them the right to take me off line!!! Believe me I am not on here as long so some people are on their computers.
Any suggestions on cheap good online services??? Am tired of Aol treating their customers badly.
And if you go to their live help don't let them trouble shoot your computer. They had me turn off something that I shouldn't have and it totally messed up my computer. Had to spend a couple 100 to get it up and running again.
They don't know what they are doing.
Also can't use my printer no upgraded patch it took forever for them to get one for 7.0. So much for that.

For the past two weeks when I log off AOL I am requested to stay on so new features are added and then after this is done I have to wait until the "new" features are added to my computer. What goes on? I know it does not take two weeks to add such features, be whatever they may be, and will they be necessary to me?

There is way too many possiblities. I am not sure that AOL is actually triggering the error message so here is one solution, unassociated with AOL.

If you have Word 9x, 2000, or XP installed, rename the file 'Normal.dot' to 'Normal.bad'. Then reopen Word. It will create a new normal template automatically. Once you have completed this, close word and see if this fixes your problem.

Another item to look at is your power settings. Is your computer set to go to standby? I would disable any standby or hard drive 'sleep' capabilities as you use a modem to connect to the Internet. Some computers do not fair well with a modem operating when the computer goes to 'sleep'. Monitor settings do not affect this.

Reinstall AOL 7.0. I would do this if you have tried everything else. Before you reinstall, think of any additions you have made to your system (hardware or software) since your error message started. Try to reinstall this applications/hardware first.

Hope this gets you started on the right track.
