Help!!!
This problem is becoming so repetitive that I don't want to turn on my computer anymore. Fatal exceptions usually occur when I'm shutting down computer. The blue screen of death appears.
Some of my exceptions: OE at 0028:BFE9936F in VxD---,
called from 0028:C001C200 in VxD---. Also, OD at 0028:
C0003805 in VxD VMM(0l)+00002805.
Also, OE at 0028:A98EC7AE
OD at 0028:C00015D7
OE at 0028:FF038CDA
I have Norton Anti-Virus, if that helps. I've tried to do a full scan on Norton but the last time I tried it froze my computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Larry,
You'll have to be patient with me, because I'm just learning. I have an AMD Athlon 800, 128 SDRAM 133,
and the mother board is Asus A7V (AMD Athlon/Duron Support). We have Windows 98. Computer not only gives us the Blue Screen of Death, but also freezes at times. If you have any solutions, you have to be specific. I don't always know where to go to begin.
Thanks in advance.

: Is it Windows ME? If so, try this url:
: ftp://ftp.micronpc.com/support/allplat/os
: the name of the file to download is msshutdwnupdtme.exe
: that's for the shutdown.

: As far as it locking what kind of cpu, memory, motherboard do you have. You may also want to go to your bios and reduce the agp apeture size. If you have a 32M or higher video card, you can actually set it to disabled, or it's lowest setting (which usually does disable it)
