First, to answer your question: Yes, you can probably get more RAM for your computer quite easily - its just a matter of making sure you get the right stuff. Find out if you have PC-100 or PC-133 or older RAM, and check your motherboard to see how many slots you have. You likely have 2 slots with one 64MB and one 32MB sticks of memory. If you don't know whut kind of mem you have, just yank out one of your sticks and go to a computer store with it and say "I want more!" ... they will figure it out.

Now I must suggest that perhaps this is not the problem you are having!! For example, if you are running ANY version of windows and have less than 500 MB free space on your hard drive, you can have SERIOUS performance issues. You have probably heard of 'SWAP' file, or HD caching, or Virtual Memory. These things require MONDO HDspace.

There may be other performance issues as well - such as a fragmented drive. You may or may not know about defragging - either way you need to run the defrag utility that comes with windows. If you can't find it, use the windows HELP. If you don't have one, there are plenty of defrag utilities available online.

Good luck!
