I have done a search on this before submitting this query. Tried all the remedies even downloaded an upgrade for Intel(r)82810 - DC 100 Graphic controller 4.12.01.2586 ! Now got 4.13.01.2843.

I still get the error message and still cannot change from 16 colour to any higher.

I will accept all the abuse that is levelled at me as long as I can get my computer back to it's original state. Have NEC with Intel Celeron 566 processor, Intel i810e AGP chipset with integrated graphics (4MB SGRAM for 3D) and integrated sound.
