I recently upgraded from Windows 98SE to Windows XP Pro and upgraded memory from 32 MB to 256 MB SDRAM DIMM. Norton Internet Security Professional was also installed as an additional firewall. System works well, memory is being recognized by system, and games and applications are being used. All settings have been checked, no conflicts. I tried to get the latest drivers, none available. I've even reset the modem. I browse the internet, but 20 minutes into the session, my system automatically restarts like clockwork. I unchecked the automatic restart box under system recovery to get a BSOD error but system restarted anyway. I checked the event log and I could only find was an IE explorer hang error iexplorer.exe 6.0, version 0.0.0.0, 0X00000000 .dll type error. Could it be the system is overclocking or could the fan be going bad? Do I need another power supply? I'm considering going back to the original configuration if I can't find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Still working on correcting the error with Windows XP Pro and Internet Explorer. Rechecked all settings, reset memory card, tried new cables and downloaded latest verion of Internet Explorer 7.0. Recently installed PeoplePC, and found an new error in the system logs with the bartshel.exe file. So, reinstalled PeoplePC and problem with the shutdown(s) remains.
