I have a HP Pavilion with ME operating system. I have Microsoft Works. I have attempted to find the file normal.dot in order to try the fixes discussed. I assume those are only relevant to Word programs. I have the same symtoms as those listed by others that have posted: computer locks up on various programs and at various times for no reason, warning displays saying that system resources are dangerously low or that there is not enough memory to run program. When I check the memory on my computer it indicates that there is plenty of memory left. If anyone knows what I can do to fix this problem, I would appreciate your help. Please make the instructions plain and simple because I am not very computer literate. Thank you!
