 what is playlib.exe Post a Reply

I noticed my CPU was getting killed by a program called playlib.exe, i did a search on goggle and it said to uncheck System Restore, go into SAFE MODE look for file in regedit and delete file(s) which i did, but it keep coming back, anyone have any idea?????

it seems the file is located in windows\system32\usmt\playlib.exe rerun

it's got to be some sort of spyware or something...

Turn off system restore.

After turning off System Restore, reboot and start in Safe mode (F8 as the computer boots to get the menu) to search and remove the program and references to it found in the registry. Reboot and restart System Restore after determining that the problem is
gone.
