I have an emachines with windows xp home edition. I had AOL internet access controls installed on my computer, which kept any program from connecting to the internet except AOL without a password. Whenever a program would try to access the internet, a window would pop up asking for a password before the program could get on. Now that spcauth.exe is deleted, the window won't pop up but the internet access controls still bans access to the internet. This means that I can only get on through AOL, banning me from online games, windows media player media guide, and other programs that access the internet. I've already tried reinstalling AOL, with no luck. If anyone knows of a place that I can download spcauth.exe or another solution, please post it here and e-mail me at razeman12690@aol.com. Thanks

C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\spcstb.sys
C:\Program Files\Common Files\aol\1127593350\ee\services\ver2_0_10_16\serviceManifest.xml

I have had a similar problem too, and thankfully Paul was very helpful. However, the wretched IAC still remains on my computer. AOL claim that I should see a radio button marked "Uninstall" if I click "parental controls", but no such button appears. I even sent AOL a screen print to prove the point. It seems to me that the IAC acts like a firewall. I asked AOL if they could upload to me a copy of the program that uninstalls IAC. They were unable to oblige and I find that incredible. Surely they could provide users with a program for rooting out (i.e. uninstalling) this wretched device.
