Picked up a compaq presario 5184 with W98SE loaded on it. Finally was able to boot without having the original keyboard with it, although did still receive keyboard error when posting. Cleaned up system, ran norton and fixed some issues. Cleared temps cookies and free space ran defrag. Checked sys resource and were up to 92% from being at 72% orig. AMD K6 with 60MRam. Loaded Office XpPro(2000) software onto sys and when rebooted is when I received the error. Bare in mind that when I do a F10 that it will ask me where to boot from and I need to input a number for either cd or c (same goes if wanting to boot safe mode get the same error). I am unable to enter numbers or letters to make my selection. I do have the windows 98SE cd but for now unable to use it to fix this. I have tried inserting boot disc in the A drive but that does not appear to be selected in the set as a bootable option.
