yesterday I installed Mcafee2000 on my HP PC 8670c using Windows98. Mcafee deleted dll files on installation & message at start up after Mcafee uninstall on my PC reads: cannot find a device file that may be needed to run Windows or a Windows application. The Windows Registry or SYSTEM.INI FILE refers to this device file, but device no longer exists. If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling association application using uninstall or set up program. If you want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file. :\PROGRA"1\MCAFEE\MCAFEE"2\SAFE&S"1\FBWIN95.VXD Please advise & help if possible....Thxxxx :>)
