Windows 98 Presario - I was traying to copy pictures from a Panasonic digital camera....I turned off my computer and rebooted. Next I get a Window message "A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C0251B33 in VXD VXDLDR (08) + 00000D87", when I tried to get out of that window and get my screen saver but no Icons, and no Start Task bar.

I have got the same error from nero. what i found out was there is a drive of nero's accessing the cd burner for direct access independent of windows. it caused a software confilict with preexisting programs. might be something similar in your cases. drivers that affect hardware directly.

Do you have any icons???? or the START TASK bar???? I don't have anything. my screen is blank.

i was just trying to close programs using cont-alt-del & got the same error message...any ideas anyone??
