Two system errors after rebooting from security pa Post a Reply
From: Elatia on 02/10/2004
I installed the newest MS security patch today and rebooted. Upon getting back into Windows, I received a system popup saying that Windows had recovered from an error and asking if I wanted to send a report to MS, which I didn't.

Error code 10000050, parameter1 f000ff57, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 bf867e60, parameter4 00000000.

After that, I got a 2nd popup with this error:

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bf866bf3, parameter3 f0c25c78, parameter4 00000000.

I'm guessing the new security patch generated these. Would I be better off uninstalling the patch and taking my chances with the crackers? Perhaps this was just a random event and won't happen again (I wish).

Did you ever find a soln? I have almost the same errors running on a 1.2G Athlon. They are driving me mad...any assistance would be greatly appreicated.

Oh yeah I forgot my system specs. It's an AMD Athlon 1.4 GHz, 512 MB SDRAM, WinXP Pro SP1
