I created a Word document based on a template that contains macros using Word 2000 and Windows 2000. I chose the options that would disallow any features not supported by Word 97, saved the file, and transferred it to my client's PC, which operates on a Windows NT platform and uses Word 97. Frequently, I can't open the files and sometimes when I can open the files, all of my graphics are missing. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem? I've tried deleting the macros from the template, but this doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I am not aware of any recent warnings. However, Dr. Watson reports all different occurances on a computer. Therefore, I would suspect that you are having a consistant problem. If you pass along the error, I can help you fix it. I think I left instructions on how to access Dr. Watson in my last post.

Start, Programs, Accesories, System Tools, System Information. Then go to the 'tools' menu and find Dr. Watson. You can launch a manual scan that will report any problems that you are having.

: In all Windows Operating Systems, there is a program called, 'Dr. Watson'. Every operating system from Microsoft from Windows 95 to current should have this error-reporting tool inbedded in their system. You can get access to Dr. Watson manually by START, PROGRAMS, ACCESORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, SYSTEM INFORMATION. When you launch this program, click on the 'tools' menu option and you will see good 'ole Dr. Watson. This tool was designed to keep all errors that occur on your computer in a master log and scan for problems.

: I would be more than happy to help you diagnose some Dr. Watson Error messages if you care to post them.

: Oh, and by the way, we know its not a joke :]
