Props to B_Brewer and Al for the helps. After trying each suggestion I found no discernable files relating to this issue. When I ran a search for WJView case sensetive (WJ View brings up 161 items) 3 items came up for me. I deleted all three, restarted my system and no more WJView Error, Unable to locate system class:java/lang/Object. Thanks to all.

I solved my problem of the recurring "WJView Error, Unable to locate system class:java/lang/object" message on bootup by following advice from nikki, B_Brewer, Eric, Darque plus some ingenuity of my own.

Like Darque, I had these two problematic entries in my registry:

WebRebate "wjview/cp:p "C:\Program Files\WebRebates\System\ . . .

WebSavings "wjview/cp:p "C:\Program Files\WebSavings\System\ . . .

As soon as I removed the WebRebate "wjview/cp:p "C:\Program Files\WebRebates\System\ . . . entry, I went back online. Within 5 minutes, "WJView Error, Unable to locate system class:java/lang/object" appeared on my screen during the session. I went back to the registry and removed WebSavings "wjview/cp:p "C:\Program Files\WebSavings\System\ . . . I also did a hard drive search on "WebRebate". This resulted in 3 files. These I deleted. I then did a "WebSavings" and this resulted in locating 10 entites, consisting of files and directories, with additional files and subdirectories. These I deleted. I happened to notice that some of these files contained tracking software, which explains the mid-session appearance of the dread "WJView Error, Unable to locate system class:java/lang/object" message.

This error comes from deleting lime wire. you have to go into the registry to stop this. go to start, run, then type regedit. then go here :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
delete the limewire junk :)
hope that helped.
it sure helped mine!

I have the error message that keeps coming up on my screen when starting computer. I went through all the things suggested with your comments, but if you go back to normal startup the problem reoccurs. It is Limewire shop, but it won't let me delete. We have purchased Limewire pro. Help

If you have downloaded Lime Wire and you delete it and get this error >error; unable to locate system class; java/lang/object . what i`ve found out was if you Click Start, Run and type Regedit. Press OK.
Go to this location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] look to the right and if any thing like lime shop or lime wire is in there click on it and delete ! thats it your Ok Now ! ERROR from LimeSuck is gone !!

Hope this helps !!

right, well i had this error as well, and llike all of em they annoy me. So a friend of mine gave me this site, and i jsut wanna say thanks for the advice, its helping me right now :D. but this think comes in another form, i found Ebatesmoneymaker in C:/programfiles. So theres something else that might help, i deleted this and everytihng else that i have mput on the computer which could have caused this. What i did do which i think might have initially caused this was try to download kazaa lite. I did this bthorugh google, so just beware of some of the kazaa downloads you can find.

I had the same problem, and it was caused by a 'Websavings' spyware entry in my registry. I solved it by taking the advice on this webpage > http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/WJViewError.htm

I didn't have the offending Websavings programme in my Startup or Program menus, but there was an entry in the Registry. Use the 'Removal' advice:

Click Start, Run and type Regedit. Press OK.
Go to this location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
In the right pane, delete the value called 'WebSavingsfromEbates'
Exit the registry editor and restart Windows.

Well, it worked for me!

Do a search for the WJView.exe file and delete all instances. You may have on in the Windows\system32. Next In your registry under "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" You will find a line containing "Ebates" and "WJView.exe" delete this line and reboot your PC

I think I solved the WJVIEW Error message when turning your computer on.

Error:unable to locate system class: java/lang/object

On my computer I went and did a search of WJVIEW and I had a icon come up and when I open it up said at the top of the window was HELP and in the window it didn't offer any help it was just a list of things that didn't seem to apply to anything... Check it out and you will see what I'm talking about. I deleted it, it's in my reclycling ben and since putting it there I have not had a problem with the error message.

try downloading ad-aware or spybot, wjview is a spyware from ebates, im not sure but i am sure that it is spyware. There are some solutions that would require you to edit the registry but the key that you're gonna be deleting can be tricky to find, i suggest try running the anti-spyware programs first and then if it doesnt work, try looking for other alternatives.
