About every other time I restart, Windows 98 fails to detect my modem. It nearly always picks it up with the second try. Any suggestions? kensterfly@aol.com

i had the same problem this morning , just re-assign the modem to another irq. work for me. goto control panel,then system ,then devices,then goto your modem then properties
