I recently downloaded the new version of Yahoo and Outlook Express 6.
The new Yahoo service seems to be working ok. I can surf the web page fine. My computer is Windows 98.

When I press on the Outlook Express Icon from the screen I get this message: The host pop prodigy net could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly pop prodigy.yahoo.com server Protocol Pop 3 Prot 110 secure SSL no Socket 1101 Error Number 0x800CCOD

But if I connect to Yahoo Dial Manager first and then press on the Outlook Express I get on...but as soon as the new mail is downloaded I get
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module kernel 32 dll at 0167 bff 7b992. I downloaded the new Outlook Express 6 from the Window Update Screen. Yahoo suggested that I use the repair tool...I did no errors came back....I still had MSIMN error... I uninstalled Outlook Version 6 and used version 5 for awhile..I lost the MSIMN error but while on version 5 I got a message of there was an intruption in your modem alot...so I re-installed Outlook version 6 again...and I am back to
the same MSIMN error.

I have check the dbx files...they are all clear.
I don't have any message rules.
I have checked the telephon.in file...it seems like it is there.
I did microsoft article 187965....

I love Outlook Express...I don't want to lose any of my address in my address book or saved e-mails.
I really don't want to unistall Outlook Express if I don't have to
Homeuser

The good news is that this error does not seem to be occuring any where else. More importantly I am receiving e-mails and people seem to be receiving my e-mails....but I am still getting the MSiMN error.

Any help please

try this because i have had the same problem, hopefully this works for you. save your files on outlook to a disk or cdrom(if you have a cd burner) uninstall outlook 6 and remove it from the registry. to do this click on start, run, and type "regedit" in the text box. then hit enter. at the top where the menus are, click on "edit" and go to "find" in the find text box type in "outlook 6" and hit enter. it will come up outlook 6. only remove the outlook 6 files(make sure u know the file names for outlook 6) if you remove files other than outlook 6 u will mess up your computer. After you ahve finished doing this reinstall outlook 6. From here it should not come up with that error again.
The most likely reason you get that error is because you ahve a file(s) removed for that one software. Or, you have/had a bug in your computer that corrupted the file(s). :) good luck.

Recently I started receiving this error message, when some e-mails are received on Outlook Express, using Win98 Operating System...any clues on how to resolve the problem? This does not happen all the time and none of my other programs seem to be affected by the problem.
