my mouse was hanging up after about an hour of operation.subsequently restarting the computer would result in decreased working time of the mouse before hanging up.now the computer is not detecting the mouse at all.
prior to this i had a samsung multimedia keyboard which ws showing a similar problem: it was hanging up after some period of operation.the cpu would then emit an alarm(?)till it was switched off. on changing the keyboard to a non multimedia keyboard (HP) problem has not recurred. the keyboard and mouse is working fine on other PCs.
i have pc with pentium 4 processsor 1.2GB hdd and windows xp
please help me fix the problem
