Help- I teach school and someone changed the password on my computer - I run windows 2000 professional - and I do not want to have to reinstall windows or wait for tech support to come out (it will be 5 to 6 months) (I generally can fix anything- but can't get pass the password on this one computer)

If your admin is smart enough this will not help - I agree with Michael... try special software that recover admin password for Win2K.... or boot from floppy, replace SAM from other machine with known admin password and change your password back to the preffered one...

If you boot in to safe mode by pressing F8 on bootup, you can login as
Administrator. From here you should be able to change passwords then reboot. This is not guaranteed to work, but you may atleast be able to access your files in case a reinstall is needed.Try it.
