when using AOL8, either within AOL or with INternet oxplorer i cannot access my hotmail inbox, i am able to reach the log in screen but after typing my password, a blank screen shows, and the "Done" message comes up. I am running a windows 98 and using AOL8

I have now sorted the problem, i have had to roll back to AOL7 although i am not sure if this had any effect. ThenControl Panel ->
Add/remove programs->
Internet Explorer 5.5-> Where i was given the option to repair the program, selected repair, ran for a short time, not requiring original installation (windows 98) disk and the problem was solved. As have other minor problems with IE HTH, Fran

I take it that you are running IE.6, if you are ten get the latest service pack for it...http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/ you can also try acessing your account via msn website, if you still have issues then get in touch witht he support team at msn for hotmail... http://lc2.law5.hotmail.passport.com/cgi-bin/support?_lang=EN if you tell them of the problem you are having... also in the internet options go to securtiy and check that all are set to default under the activeX controls Jase

Jase, thanks for your post, but neither of those have worked, i have MSN 5 already and changing my inbox to hotmail hasn't changed it. Any other ideas?

Go to internet options in control panel and then go to programs, set the inbox to hotmail and then press apply.Go back to hotmail and see if you can get to your inbox, if not upgrade to MSN 5 and you should find the problem goes away...
