AOL upgrade from 7.0 to 8.0, now NAV2003 firewall |

Just updated aol to version 8.0, then tried to do a live update on nortan firewall 2003 and it comes up with the error "unable to connect etc etc"internet generally works fine... anyone seen this problem or now what aol8.0 has done ? JF

If ytou have upgraded from the computer (AOL) uninstall and reinstall from a disk, and if you have the same problem I had, your problem will be gone. The disks are available at any office max or office depot. Good luck

JAMES, CAN YOU HELP ME? I wasted over 3 hours upgrading from AOL7 to 8 and I'm back on 7. Having a lot a problems with AOL. Do you think it is worth carrying on with it in Canada? (We have a beef!! :}

symantec helped me out on this one (nice chaps) - hope it helps anyone else who suffers the same pain with AOL,

http://service1.symantec.com/Support/sharedtech.nsf/docid/2002082616293813basically, it tells you to search for a couples of files, delete them and then do a new live update.. seems to sort it self out thanks all JF
