i have duron 1300 on win98se.for no apparent reason i have lost my scandisc when i reboot the system after improper shutdown.scandisc is there and working in msdos mode and through manual execution in windows.i have tried running my windows set up disc several times with no success in rectifying this problem.i do not want to format my hard disc to see if this works as i would lose a lot of software.COULD ANYBODY PLEASE HELP ME.
