When I try to install windows xp, it says "installation failed: C:\$WIN_NT$.~LS\I386\asms. Error Message: The manifest file does not begin with the required tag and format information."

I have no clue what's going on! =(

Strip this machine down to the bare bones, just leave yourself with a keyboard, mouse, video, one hard drive, one CD or DVD, floppy drive.

If you have two cd roms... i.e.

Master = Hard drive
Slave = Cd-rom/dvd rom
Secondry Master = Cd-rom/Burner

Unhook the secondry cd rom/burner and just have the primary channel running the drives...
