Hi there. I`m in need of some help here. Since months ago i`ve been having problems with me computer. First a really bodering alert sound makes me sick. This sound stars when i was ussing lost of programs so i thougth that it was RAM. I had XP and i reformat the computer and install WinMe to finish the problem. It didn`t worked. Now a blue screem appears with a 0e:017f:bff8e64b error message, i still listen the sound sometimes and i have done several formats to the computer re-installing the system.
Any sugestions???

The error message xxxx:xxxxxxxx refers to an illegal instruction or invalid code within a file that the CPU is trying to access. Chances are that the file is badly corrupted and you should use another installation CD.

You should start the PC in safe mode and check if the same error reappears with the same exception address and file.

If it does then it could be failing hardware or corrupt weindows core files...try another CD to install windows. Ditch WinME cos its rubbish and use a Windows 98SE disk.
