i was having a similiar problem as you all, would get a hungapp message for ie6 whenever i attempted to dl using ie6... i was able to correct this by downloading and replacing the mscoree.dll file located in the windows/system32 folder... i dont know how this file became corrupt, just did a fresh install the other day... but anyway, this solved my problem, hopefully it might help to solve yours. you can find this dll here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/download.php?mscoreedownload0UFkUGaFeS

Same problem here. I have DSL and it seems like the faster any given site loads... it hangs more frequently. It's driving me crazy. I also have a Dell. (Dell Dimension 8200). I'm using XP and have Explorer 6.0 and sign on to MSN 8 most often. If someone could help I'd be forever grateful. Thanks!

I've tried reinstalling IE6 and still couldn't fix my problem. But i had a initial month or two where everything worked fine. There must be some way to fix this without going back to IE5.5Any ideas?

try uninstalling I.E.6 and re-installing it, otherwise you may want to revert to IE. 5.5, you will need to find a copy on this site:http://services.t-online.de/t-on/down/brow/ar/ar-internetexplorer55,iID=684854,frame=cont.html Slink
