 Device Driver keeps randomly restarting computer l Post a Reply

I have a cyber power inc computer that is running windows XP plenty of ram and everything. Anyway at random intervals my computer restarts and gives the system recovered from critical error meassage and i always check the error log and the last thing listed is always true vector engine(zone alarm) the last time it happened I was checking my netork connections(home network) when it did it but I am not always on the internet when it happens any advice?

Thanks for the advise about the Zone Alarm. Mine has just started the random restarts and I could find no cause for it.

Your problem is with Zone Alarm. this firewall is really nasty and it's going to give you all kinds of headaches.You need to unistall Z.A but don't do it from the unistall programs because it's going to install itself again you need to use the registry to solve this problem. Couple months ago it took me four days to get back to the Internet because of this application good luck.

The message you get that windows has recovered from a serious error is a know problem to microsoft, go to the windows Update and get the update from the crittical updates setcion, you will have to go through them to find the update, but its there

It may take a few reboots to cure the problem once the update has been installed

Wow. I also have a cyber power pc and it does the same thing, restarts randomly. It didn't used to do it before though, just all of a sudden....wtf, stupid cyber power.
