I have the same problem and also the same error message. But I receive it from random program files, too. I reinstalled Win2k 2 times but it's the same again. I think it's a hardware problem. Can you help me?

read this for the reason why -

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://wargamescenter.free.fr/forum/post_view.php%3Fforum%3D6%26topic%3D2238&prev=/search%3Fq%3D0xC0000005%2B(ACCESS_VIOLATION)%2Bat%26start%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26sa%3DN

the solution -
START -> RUN -> type "COMMAND" then enter or go
type "regsvr32/U mmswitch.ax" then enter you should get a little dialogue box click OK
type "regsvr32/U bicubic_resizer.ax" then enter you should get a little dialogue box click OK

bob's your uncle, job done

try it now

try re-seating your memory and then open the file, also try another form of media player to view the file..
