My computer keeps on getting a blue screen with "Exception OE has occurred at 0028:C0030AEC in VXD called from 0028:C002F285". I have had similar OE errors in the past, but not this one. Have deleted some items from the start-up MS config menu, but this time it doesn't help.Does anyone have any ideas what could have caused this. I have installed Turbo Tax for my husband's taxes and a new Intellimouse...but I used to get blue screens in the past too. However, lately they are much more frequent.... Thanks so much. The other blue screens that showed up in the past were able to go away once I deleted start-up menu items, but not this time...

Hi,I am getting the exact same message when I shut down although this only occurs after trying to use the internet through Telewest Broadband connected direct to the set-top tv box. My connection to the internet only lasts for a few pages before it is lost and then I get this error on shut down. I have tried re-installing Windows ME and deleting some virtual drivers including those from my logitech cordless mouse to no avail. Prior to getting Telewest Broadband I occasionally got a blue screen but think the message was different Any advice would be appreciated.

you need to find out the file that is causing the problem, if you can boot into windows using safe mode then it is probably going to be a driver issue, locate the file in a EBD boot and back it up then delete it, see if windows boots normally, if not re-install windows...slink9
