I CAN'T GET OUT OF DOSS MODE, MY REGISTRY SEEMS TO BE LOST, AND I AM TOTALLY LOST. I BOUGHT NORTON'S ANTIVIRUS, IT TELLS ME MY STARTUP.EXE & COMMAND.COM FILES ARE MISSING OR CORRUPTED. IF I TRY TO LOAD A FILE FROM A: IT SAYS ITS NULL AND I CANT GET FILES FROM A CD. WHAT TO DO NOW?

sounds like you've got some issues here, you should at least be able to boot from a floppy, but if you can try these commands: a:\Fdisk/status with this command you will see if the drive is online, if so then the drive is recognised by the system, run the program called scandisk the command is: "a:\scandisk c:" and also "a:\scanreg/fix"
