I am using windows "me" edition, and recently have had the following crash over and over again:

"error in vxd mxecpv(2)+000002f1 this was called apon by vxd vwin32(05)+00001f16"

This has happened mostly while on the internet ( I'm surprised I'm here now!) I don't have any viral problems that I know of. I have gone into the "msconfig" already and could not find mentioned "vxd"
Please help, thanks.

Leslie, I would like to thank you for your advice...As suggested I un-installed fixit after encountering the blue screen showing error<VXD MXE CPV(02)>Time and time again on SHUTDOWN & RE-START an otherwise sys that had been working perfect...Thank again for the advice...Worked like a charm.....!

i'm a technical support..one of my clients is having the error after installing the wireless usb adapter..would it also mean that "fix it" is also causing the problem? she wasn't getting the error before he installed the device..

Exactly the same problem - ended up putting a new HD in and reinstalling everything as it got progressively worse....

Error msg came up after each print job. I also got the msg when I tried to delete a printer from the Printers folder (I had to instances for some reason) - unloading crashproof didn't solve it but after a reboot with no loading selected everything is fine.

I also had the same problem. I uninstalled my "Fix It" utilities program and the printer works again!

Although I didnt realize that was what was causing it!

I have just run across the same problem. I just (re)installed "FixIt" utilities on windows "ME". Now on booting it crashes in MXECPV.

Well I read further down this board, and found some good advice: don't run crashproof on "fix it utilities"!
If this does not help me I'll be back. Has anybody else had this problem? With fix it? With any other programs?
Please post your input as it helps us all!
