I have an LG CD-RW CED-8080B. It worked fine until a point where everytime a put a CD in (blank or regular) I get the blue screen! It says I have a fatal exception 0E in 0028 :00000003. I don't know what this means, so if anyone could help me that'd be great!

I figured out thatit was the Adaptec software that was causing the problem and not the drive itself. I tried to uninstall the program but Win couldn't find the unindtall file. What finally worked was to go into the Windows registry. sytem info, system.ini and windows.ini files had no indication that this software was running, however the registry still showed the Adaptec folders in the software sections. I simply deleted all references to the Adaptec software. This got rid of the OE 0028 error. I then re-installed the adptec software and everything seems to be working peerfectly.

I'm experiencing the identical problem with the LG-8080B CD-RW. It was working fine until I had ti replace my HD, after a crash. The drive works fine in DOS, the HW is configured and Windows believes it's configured just fine. I've gone to the LG web site, but this is a plug and play device for Win 98,hence there isn't a driver available.I'm out of ideas-help. Thanks.

This is a pretty broad error message.I would make sure that you have the most updated driver for your operating system. Check out the manufacturer's website and download a new driver. Computerpilot
