I need help trying to figure this problem out.I have a Compaq Pressiaro 5202 with an AMD K-6 -2 processor, 64MB SDRAM, 4GB Harddrive. I've have this since 99' always worked fine, no upgrades at all. I just started receiving error messages.
An exception OE has occured at 0028:C000AB75 in VxD VMM(01)+00009B75. This was called from 0028:C000AB74 in VxD VMM(01)+00009B74.
When I hit start to go back to windows, the computer freezes. I let it sit for a couple hours-it works for about an hour or so, then shows the error again. I have done scandisk, scanreg., defrag., Virus Scan with Norton, McAfee, and Fix-it 4.0, reformatted harddrive, re-installed win98 1st edition, repartioned harddrive, done a clean boot with virus disk in A:/, checked to make sure nothing is conflicting with anything else, and everthing else. NOTHING WORKS, it stills shows the error messages and freezes. I have been told it may be my memory stick gone bad, hard drive have bad sectors, or my CPU overheating. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

This error message is associated with your video card. I would check these items:

*adequate cooling for the video card
*proper and most current driver installed
*try lower acceleration/color bit size/resolution as a test

Hope this helps.
