I am an elderly lady and know this is probably simple but difficult for me. Where do I find out what kind of sound card I have on my computer. I use Windows 95. I have tried to use dialpad and people say my speech is broken up although I can hear them well.

try looking in the device manager.
control panel, system icon, device manager,
click on + sign next to sound. it will tell you what the sound card is.
the choppy ness is caused by too slo of a processor.
the pentium 3 systems with 500 to 900 mhz cpu's take alot of choppy out. and, using a headset plugged into the front of your main speaker will help tho.
