Fatal Exception 0E in VXD IFSMGR(04) ... not liste Post a Reply
From: Lisa on 01/05/2001
Hello!
I'm trying to run a full backup that spans over 2 tapes using my Onstream DI30 drive.
After putting in the 2nd tape, I get a blue screen error:

Fatal exception 0E occurred at 0028:C02BC7EA in VXD IFSMGR(04) + 00013EFE.

When I press CTRL-ALT-DEL, the tape drive spins up for about 3 minutes and then my system will reboot. According to the 2nd tape and it's log, the backup does fill up the 1st tape and write data to the 2nd tape. I just cant tell if it's completed the backup.
This is the only time I get this error.
The above error msg with the address shown doesn't show up in Window's Knowledge Base. But it does list two seemingly related items:
1) To uncheck the "disconnect" option on my IDE CD-ROM Drive. (I don't have Encarta installed).
2) To download newer version of IFSMGR.VXD

I will be trying both, but I wanted to post here to see if anyone has any other suggestions!

Thanks in advance!
Lisa W.
