For the Frecell & GPF or General Protection Fault. This worked for me.

FIRST, if you're running MS Office XP or Clean Sweep, go get the specific fixes for those problems.

If not, Click Start, click Run and type in msconfig. Run the program

This controls what files are executed on startup. My problem was in the Startup tab. I suggest that you uncheck ALL the files and restart the machine. If Freecell runs, then check about half the items and restart the machine. Keep adjusting by putting in or taking out half of the items, until you narrow it down to the one item that causing the conflict.

If Freecell won't run when you uncheck all items on the startup tab, try a similar approach with the other tabs.

Hope this works for you like it did for me.

Do you have a GForce 4 video card? These video cards are a real pain in the ass.

Try downloading the updated video card drivers for the video card and reinstall them (if you need help with this, post back and I will give you step-by-step instructions).

This should fix your error message and allow you to install your programs.
