An exception OE has occured at 0028:C00700C1 in VX Post a Reply

At every boot, this error message appears on my Athlon 800 with Win 98 SE. It also says that it may be able to continue normally, but only hangs there. Ctrl+Alt+Delete does not work. Power off button will not work. Only way to start the computer is to use the reset button and boot to safe mode, run scandisk and reboot again. Scandisk finds a problem every time and fixes it, but problem persists. I have run Norton System Works Pro 2001 several times and it also always finds some registry or shortcut problems after a reboot and fixes them.

Thanks for any help, this is very annoying.

You may want to go into your bios and enable support for "legacy" USB devices, (keyboards, mice, etc). This may help you.

This problem crops up every time I plug the cam into the USB (I have no idea what the brand on the cam is) the only markings are that it was made in Portugal.
