Original Problem Posted by: Terry on 12/03/2004
Just upgraded to Windows ME and now about half the time, Windows will not start; gives error above and locks so I have to hard boot my pc.

Also, I would like to get rid of the user dialog box which asks for a password just before Windows opens. You know the one--you can cancel out of it, but it's just an annoyance. I went through the control panel user option and deleted all the users, but am still getting the dialog box. I'm wondering if the two of these problems could be related?

Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks. Terry
