I have Windows ME on my laptop and every time i start it up, it says an improper shutdown was detected and goes into scandisk, even though the laptop was properly shut down from the start menu.
I exit the scandisk before it completes, and sometimes it opens in safe mode desktop and sometimes it opens in a normal desktop.
How can i stop it from performing scandisk every time i start up? Is windows not shutting down properly? It appears to. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Alex.
