Original Problem Posted by: Kim on 03/08/2004
I have a DVD/CDR/CD-Rom in my D drive that was working fine. I haven't knowingly loaded any new programs that would cause problems. I get an error message whenever I try to use the D drive for anything - loading games, burning CDs, etc. The message reads:

An exception 06 has occurred at 0028:00000017 in VxD ---. This was called form 0028:C183CAAB in VxD scsi1hlp (03) + 00000508. It may be possible to continue normally.

However, it is not possible to continue normally. Usually the system hangs and I have to reboot. Any suggestions?
